WE-ER^® plug-type couplings for maximum pressure hoses have been designed for connections between maximum pressure hoses or machines and aggregates without additional tools.

The plug-type coupling consists of an inner part with clamp and an outer part (remaining on the hose). The inner part has a slide fit on one side and a connection piece (available with different types of connection such as external and internal threads, welding end, cutting ring cone, hose socket etc.) on the other. The outer part (plug piece) has a sealing ring on one side and a connection piece (available with different types of connection such as external and internal threads, welding end, cutting ring cone, hose socket etc.) on the other. After pushing the outer part on the slide fit the clamp is closed by engaging the tension lever with spring. Clamp legs only have to absorb pure axial thrust of pressure working on the small cross-section inside the coupling.

The practical coupling design results in a light and compact construction. An O-ring known from the hydraulic sector, made of quality material suitable to application and stresses and thus ensuring a long durability, is used for sealing.

On special demand, the coupling is also available with an extra back-up ring for extreme stresses. A simple retaining ring holds the clamp on the inner part of the plug-type coupling; it can easily be replaced if damaged by external factors. The spring tension has been calculated to prevent the coupling from re-opening, once the tension lever has been engaged.
