WE-ER^® high-pressure pipe coupling Form "A"

WE-ER^® high-pressure pipe couplings Form “A” to be used on face hydraulic or paste pipes enable quick pipe connections without use of additional tools.

The WE-ER^® high-pressure pipe coupling consists of one flange with sealing ring and sealing seat and a second flange with an internal sealing seat. Both flanges are slid into one another, a fitting bevel preventing the sealing ring from being destroyed during assembly.

After combining the two pipe coupling flanges, the WE-ER^® pipe coupling clamp is laid around the ring collars. The connection is closed by engaging the spring and shifting the tension lever. A security splint pin inserted into the bore holes ensures additional safety; thus the pipe coupling clamp remains closed, even in case if the tension lever is accidentally opened.

From DN 60 upwards, a stainless steel screw replacing the splint pin serves to protect against unintended opening.

The pipes are hot galvanised and suited to operation pressures of 320 or 500 bar respectively, depending on their application. Before delivery, all pipes and fittings undergo a pressure test of 1.5 times of the operation pressure.

The WE-ER^® pipe coupling Form “A” is especially characterised by its extremely easy mounting. No disadvantageous retightening is required; after combining the flanges, leak-tightness of the connection is achieved. Though without any leakage pressure function, the WE-ER^® pipe coupling clamp takes up the respective internal axial pressure. The use of a Perbunan sealing ring with corresponding shore hardness has proven to be absolutely leak-tight. The sealing ring on the sealing seat being in a neutral phase prevents any leakages, even in case of slight bending due to fabrication tolerances. The WE-ER^® pipe coupling clamp has no loose parts, except the security splint pin or screw. A mounted execution of the clamp is also available if required.
