Our motivation to create a practical and safe union joint led us to deliberately deciding against a front-side sealing.

The Weinhold^® steam union design has a cylindrical sealing seat including a radial seal instead, thus providing a leak-proof connection when the union piece has been simply put together. The actual screw joint having to absorb the respective axial pressure consists of a conical thread with cylindrical run-out; this ensures an easy handling by hand, the thread remaining free to move axially and radially as well. The joint can be easily connected or disconnected by hand. In order to prevent the joint from unintended loosening due to any torsion forces occurring, a pin holds the inner parts fixed together and protects against any torsions. An additional friction ring prevents the union nut from loosening by itself in a depressurised condition, and simultaneously protects the thread against entering of any external liquids or contaminants.

The Weinhold^® steam union is available in a variety of materials and can be equipped with different types of connection (welding ends, internal and external threads, flanges).

The Weinhold^® steam union provides absolute safety, particularly with respect to the medium steam with an operating temperature of up to 210°C.
