Weinhold®
Steam Pistol
The Weinhold® steam pistol combines a high technological standard with high safety requirements, when the fluid steam is involved. Application fields are spraying off and cleaning of boilers, installation units and hall floors as well as thawing of pipes on outdoor equipment. The Weinhold® steam pistol can be used at operating temperatures up to 180°C, shortly up to 210°C, and pressures up to 10 bar. The fluid enters the steam pistol through a hose and a hose connector attached to the steam pistol (WE-ER® hose fitting, WE-ER® pipe coupling, Weinhold® steam union). Inside the pistol the medium is diverted and enters the jet pipe through a stop valve, before exhausting through the nozzle. The Weinhold® steam pistol is equipped with a trigger to reduce opening force. When releasing the trigger, the pistol will be automatically shut, thus preventing unintentional escape of steam and resulting accidents. Special thermal insulations on the pistol (perforated stainless steel sheet and thermal plastic bridges) and on the jet pipe eliminate the risk of burns. The Weinhold® steam pistol is held by the handle, which can be easily adapted for the use of left-handers. According to application purposes different nozzle types are available: circular nozzles, flat jet cleaning nozzles, multi-hole nozzles and rotating nozzles. It is also possible to mount the nozzle directly on the pistol without jet pipe. Nearly all parts of the steam pistol are made of stainless steel, main seals are made of glass-fiber reinforced PTFE. To prevent the hose from distorting and squeezing, the standard execution of the Weinhold® steam pistol is equipped with the Weinhold® rotary device between pistol and connection coupling. The Weinhold® rotary device is also available separately. The Weinhold® steam pistol is often used in combination with a Weinhold® steam valve.
WE-ER®
Filter Equipment
The WE-ER® filter equipment prevents dirt particles in pipelines to enter subsequent fittings such as shut-off valves with harmful effects. It consists of housing and filter cartridge. The housing to be mounted on to the pipeline for permanent stay can be equipped with the respective connections such as inside or outside threads. The filter cartridge is inside the housing. By loosening a screw or a Seeger cir-clip ring the cartridge can be removed from the housing and thus exchanged easily. Only a short operation stop is required. The housing is available in malleable cast iron, brass or stainless, the filter cartridge is made of stainless steel plate or galvanised carbon steel plate, the supporting center of the cartridge is made of brass. The WE-ER® filter equipment can also be supplied in combination with Weinhold® compressed air valves or Weinhold® steam valves. The easy cartridge replacement only requires a short pipeline stop, which makes up the high economic attractiveness of the WE-ER® filter equipment.
WE-ER®
Pipe Filter Unit
The WE-ER® pipe filter unit serves for elimination of coarse contaminants such as tinder or silt from pipelines. Its particular design allows an easy and unproblematic integration even into existing pipelines. The actual filter unit is inside the filter and consists of a solid filtering basket with an inward strainer. By choice of a corresponding filter mesh the filtration grade can be adjusted to individual needs. A clamp provides easy opening of the filter unit for cleaning purposes or exchange of the strainer. The elongated design of the filter unit decreases any interferences in fluid flux. The WE-ER® pipe filter unit can be designed according to specific customer needs – with regard to length, positioning and quantity of outlets (discharge taps), inlet and outlet connection elements, concentric or (in order to avoid residues) excentric designs, filter length proper to flow rate and material appropriate to fluid (e.g. galvanised carbon steel, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel).
